East Tennessee high school football is BACK for week 2 and there are plenty of familiar Tennessee names under the Friday night lights.

Vols head coach Josh Heupel was at West vs. Maryville, where his son, Jace Heupel, is a sophomore quarterback for the West Rebels.

Maryville Rebels ultimately defeated West Rebels 48-13 on Friday night. This is the first win under new Maryville head coach, Kenny Cobble.

Week 1 kicked off with one of Tennessee’s biggest high school football rivalries: Alcoa vs. Maryville. In a double-overtime thriller, the Alcoa Tornadoes took down the Maryville Rebels, marking Alcoa’s third straight win in the rivalry.
